DUEMODA International, May 2024
Power and Prowless
DUEMODA International is the first BIPOC international fashion magazine within the University of Michigan.
At that time, I was the design editor and worked with my president, Brandon Luca De Martinez (a fashion coordinator for brands at New York and Milan Fashion Weeks, including Ralph Lauren, Dur Doux, and Gucci), to create a magazine that focused on each culture’s symbolization of the snake, using bold imagery. I worked on multiple parts, including Will Glasser’s layout shown below. I ensured the inclusion of fierce typography that highlighted Will and his identity.
SHEI Magazine, October 2024
Reprise, Volume 11 Issue 1
SHEI Magazine, started in 1999, is an entirely student-run fashion and pop-culture publication at the University of Michigan.
As the design editor, I compiled 60 pages for this issue, featuring 5 photoshoots and 4 articles created by our talented teams of designers, photographers, stylists, and writers. I designed writer Emerson McKay’s feature, "Admit it, You Miss Magazines," which explains the evolution and revival of magazines.
I used a vibrant color scheme of scarlet red with orange elements and various typographies, including sans serif, serif, and handwritten fonts, to enhance visual appeal and readability.
